ROBIN JORDAN
OWNER & INTERIOR DESIGNER
VENTURA HOUSE was born from a pure passion and desire to make every space whether residential or commercial a place of creative joy and design excellence. It’s owner and primary designer, Robin Jordan known as “RJ”, has been involved in interior design for more than 25 years. A native of Winter Park, FL her grandmother’s childhood friend was a principal designer for The Florence Institute of Design International in Italy and came every summer to visit RJ’s grandmother and spent endless summer days and nights teaching RJ the principles of design along with sparking what can only be explained as an innate internal love & obsession to makeover and construct beautiful, unmatched interior designs.
RJ spent many years in the corporate sector as a Senior Director of Human Resources, while putting two kids through college and ran her design business on weekends. As it has always been her souls true desire and purpose, she devotes all her time professionally to her beloved design firm Ventura House.

“Knowing design principles is very important however, applying them through the creative process is often missed in the world of interior design today. A client’s personal reflection gets lost with many designers and I routinely see benign designs that focus more on trends and duplications then on the actual psychology of design which, to me should invoke feelings that set a tone within the space. Residential homes should be sanctuaries for the clients that live there and along with meeting their goals for good living, it is the designer’s job to optimize their wants and needs into seamless good style and a place where people walk in and feel instant comfort and happiness.
Likewise, when designing commercial spaces, the premise is again to invoke a feeling and lasting impression that says, this space is one that the business owner cares about the people that visit the establishment and wants them to return or speak positively about their experience there. It should also consider those that work within the space and provide an environment that propels and supports their companies’ overall goals such as, be motivating and a place to where they feel enjoyment to be there day in and day out.”
